Computer Basics was designed to keep you entertained while simultaneously helping you learn the basics of computing. The game moves at a moderate pace and the questions are written in a way that's not only fun, but easy to understand. There are over 200 questions in 5 different categories. See the example below.

1. Roll the die.

2. Count the number of squares on the die and put the place holder on this square. Each square corresponds to a different category unless it's a "gotcha" square or a "shortcut" square. In the image below the place holder is on an Internet square.

3. Draw a card from the category that corresponds to the type of square you landed on. In this case we are drawing an Internet card. There are 5 different categories of questions: General, Hardware, Internet, Navigation, and Software. There are over 200 questions divided among these 5 categories.

4. Answer the question. Below is an actual question from the game.

5. If you answer correctly, remove the place holder, and put your pawn on this square. If you answer the question incorrectly you can still learn something by reading what the correct answer is and also by reading the explanation on the back of the card (not all questions have an explanation).

6. The first person to the finish wins!
